Golden Girl Book Scholarship

The Washington, D.C. Metro Chapter established the Golden Girl Book Scholarships in 2005 to honor the service and legacy of three long standing members: Gladys Crockett, C’34, Ida White, C’46, and Mae Wilson, C’47. Book scholarships are bestowed upon rising Spelman freshman from the Washington, D.C. Area who meet certain criteria and attend the annual new student BBQ sponsored by the chapter.
