 2010 Loving Me Girls' Conference
In March of 2010, the DC Metro Chapter hosted the “Loving Me” Conference for over 60 young ladies between the ages of 12 and 16 years
from the Washington DC area. They attended workshops that helped them recognize and appreciate their unique beauty, build sisterhood, use positive forms of expression,
and develop their professionalism.

We would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to our keynote speaker, Spelman Alumna Chelsea Rogers, C'2005. She is the director of the Miss Congeniality Foundation
and is the reigning Miss DC International
2010. Chelsea spoke to the girls about confidence building skills learned in pageants such as public speaking, etiquette, leadership, poise and presentation,
and the importance of community service.
